I have operated a store front business on Huron Avenue in Cambridge for the last 28 years. I graduated from Harvard University in 1975 and opened Easy Chairs in 1980. I have been very involved as a Huron Village business leader, founding the Huron Avenue Business Association and leading the association's participation in many public safety initiatives as well as my favorite community building events, the Fall Fair and the Holiday Stroll.
In 2005, I helped to found Cambridge Local First (CLF), a network of locally owned and independent businesses in Cambridge, MA. CLF's members share a commitment to building a strong local economy and a vibrant, distinct community.
28 years seems like a long time, but being a part of Huron Village and the Cambridge business community has allowed me and my business to thrive.
I conduct business out of my store on Huron Avenue, but spend many days driving to meet customers at their homes or storage sites. I have my own storage space in Cambridge and lately I conduct auctions from the Holiday Inn on Route 128 in Dedham. I'm ready to meet you wherever you may be!
I live with my wife Beth in Newton, MA - our two young adult kids are out of the house . I am a passionate golfer, who loves to hang with his family and schmooze in his store!
